Spring Is Here: How to Restore Energy After a Long Winter?

Spring is a great time to regain energy after a long winter. How to do it best?

More sun and fresh air

As the weather turns warmer, spend more time outside — a good way to get vitamin D and improve mood and energy levels.

Diet with seasonal produce

Supplement your menu with seasonal produce such as spinach, arugula and other greens, which enrich the body with minerals and vitamins. Include protein and healthy fats too, and drink enough fluids — dehydration can cause fatigue.

Physical activity

Spring is a great time to start moving more — longer walks, jogging, exercise or cycling all help improve physical shape and well-being.

Quality sleep

As mornings get lighter, sleeping patterns can change. Ventilate the room, reduce phone and computer use before bed, and try to keep a consistent bedtime.

Less stress, more positive emotions

Look for ways to reduce stress and give yourself positive emotions — reading, music, meditation or hobbies all help.

Massage

Massage can also restore strength and improve well-being — it improves blood circulation, relieves muscle tension, eases stress and anxiety, activates lymph flow and improves sleep quality.

Classic (relaxing) massage helps release tension and improves general well-being.
Deep tissue massage is great if you feel muscle tension.
Aromatherapy massage adds more effect with energising oils like citrus, peppermint and rosemary.

If you haven't had a massage in a while, spring is the perfect time to try it! If you live or work in Gravesend or Northfleet, see you for a massage very soon.
